​TTWS staff are trained, experienced professionals who will provide the services you need to become successfully employed. We are here to assist you through each step of the way toward self-sufficiency, recognizing that for some it may mean lots of counseling and preparation, while others may need some initial guidance and then occasional “check-in” support. If you are serious about working and achieving self-sufficiency and prepared to work hard to make that happen, we want to work with you. We will help you overcome barriers to employment and then once employed, be there to get you over bumps in the road.

Using our extensive experience working with a wide range of medical conditions, we will develop a plan of services to meet your particular needs.

VOCATIONAL COUNSELING AND CAREER EXPLORATION

Our nationally board-certified, doctoral level rehabilitation counselor will work with you to identify the right career path for you. We offer career testing if you are not sure what your skills and vocational interests are.

LOCAL JOB SEARCHES

Our experienced staff will identify local employers who may be interested in your background and help you with applying for jobs you may be qualified for.

JOB RETENTION AND EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT

Just as important to finding the right job is being able to keep your job. Our staff is available to help you address any concerns that may arise. When necessary, our doctoral level counselor will provide personal counseling to you in insure you can keep your job.

RESUME` GUIDANCE AND ADVICE

We’ll help you draft your resume` so that you make your best presentation to potential employers. Along the way, if you change jobs, we will help you make changes that best represents who you are.

JOB ACCOMODATION INFORMATION

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is a powerful tool when it comes to helping you gain access and success in your new job. Our staff will offer you guidance about what your rights are and how to approach your employer with disability-related concerns.

REFERRAL INFORMATION

Our staff stand ready to provide you with a wealth of resources in your local community and beyond to help you land the job you want. Also, for those who want to work for the Federal Government, we will write a letter that may help you get a leg up (called Schedule A letter).
